How Florida Fast Apostille works

1. Tell us what the document is and which country needs it

A birth record for Mexico is not the same as a business document for a bank in Panama. The order form asks both questions first so we know what to look for.

2. Send a photo or scan of the document

We look at it before you mail anything. If it is a photocopy, if a notary from another state signed it, or if the country does not take this Florida stamp, we tell you while the document is still with you.

3. Pay

You pay by card. You get an order number by email. Standard is $125 for the first document. Rush is $199.

4. Mail us the original

Use a tracked envelope. Write the order number on the label. We email you the address to send it to. Do not mail it to the state’s public P.O. box unless we say so.

5. We take it to the state office in Tallahassee

Florida adds this stamp in only one place: the Department of State in Tallahassee. We drop the document off for you. The state usually gives courier packets back the next business day.

6. We mail it back

You get tracking. Watch the order on the track page. The stamped original goes to the address you put on the form.

What you should know before you start

The photo is not the filing. Florida stamps the original document. Birth and marriage records have to be certified copies from Florida, not a church booklet or a printout. Court documents need the county clerk’s stamp first. Powers of attorney need a Florida notary — if you are outside the country, that still has to be a Florida notary on video, not a local notary where you live.

After we have the original, standard takes about 3–5 business days. Rush means we drop it the next business day we have it. The state fee is in the price. You pay to mail the original to us. Full numbers are on the prices page.
